Dr. Beth Palmer

DVM

Veterinarian

Hi! I'm Dr. Beth Palmer! I grew up on an acreage in Arlington, NE. After high school, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Following my undergraduate studies, I spent a year on an internship at a feedlot in Kansas before pursuing veterinary school through the 2+2 program between the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and Iowa State University, graduating in May 2019.

I am a proud member of the Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association (NVMA) and the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).

I was told as a little girl by several people who knew me that I was very compassionate toward animals and the people who love them. I took this to heart and developed an interest in helping my family keep their animals healthy. In middle school, I had the opportunity to participate in the Explorers program, where I shadowed at a vet clinic for the first time during surgical procedures, and I fell in love with veterinary medicine.

I am passionate about preventative medicine and wellness care. I love working with clients who have relatively healthy pets, giving them advice and products to help preserve their pet’s health. I find great satisfaction in providing relief from dermatology issues, such as skin and ear infections and wounds. I also enjoy spaying and neutering, bladder surgery, and have a special interest in acupuncture, which allows me to treat various conditions holistically in a relaxing environment for the pet.

Working with an excellent team is another highlight of my job. My coworkers are skilled and dedicated, and I thrive in an environment where I trust them to keep the best interest of our patients in mind. A great day for me includes routine surgery and client education on preventative medicine topics like ear cleaning, arthritis management, and parasite prevention.

Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with my nieces and nephews and helping my husband, Cole, with his custom haying operation. We share our home with a sweet husky named Alexis (aka Moose) and an ornery cat named Angus. Additionally, I love gardening, dabbling in sewing and Cricut crafts, and relaxing with my family.
